LACE IS . . . interesting when it comes to Clover because she ranks right up there with Erik and Charles, but Clover is very, very against opening up to her. It isn't exactly a matter of trust - she knows Lace won't say anything, won't judge her, and she already knows some things. But as it is she's young, and Clover is really against exposing her entire, terrible life to the younger ones. Yeah, Kyriakos is a bad place too and it exposes them all to the same, terrible shit, but Clover is very dead set on believing herself not to be a good person. And in a way . . . she doesn't want that point to be proven.
But! She is very, very fond of Lace. When she isn't dodging Lace's questions and being a jerk, Lace is someone she considers a real friend. If she were less of a butt about things she would absolutely go to her with her problems, but - alas, she is a butt. But she knows she can, and that's just as important to Clover as actually going to Lace with her problems. That isn't to say she won't - I mean, she'll rant to the high heavens about her team and everything going on with that, though she may leave out the little detail about threatening Cats. So!
But yeah, Lace is a friend, and one Clover more than readily admits to having. She's just a butt.
