A gift? What for?

The humans of many of the different versions of Earth celebrate a holiday called Christmas. One of the traditions is giving gifts to others; I've become fond of it.

[hyanaimne]

I have heard of it recently, but . . . [she still looks confused] I, er. Thank you?

[governorkang]

When and where would you like to meet?

[hyanaimne]

It does not matter to me . . . outside of the building holding the transporter, perhaps? Since it is easy to find . . .

In a half hour? Or do you need more time?

No . . . no, that is fine. I will see you then?

[she was almost tempted not to show up at all, if only because she's terrible at receiving gifts, and especially gifts for some holiday she only just learned about. But a half hour later, she's finally walking up to the transporter building, already well hidden in her hood - a first, since she "came back"]

[Kang is standing outside, jacket pulled tight against the occasional gusts of wind. He has something wrapped in leather in one hand.]
