❧ Aurae (Up to Age 14)
Born during one of the worst winters the village had ever seen (mid-December our calendar), and survived despite that. Mother is an Elf (so she was carried for 2 years :'D) and father is human.
Up until she was about eight, she was sick a lot of the time - she was a small child, due to the conditions into which she was born, so she often fell ill with fever and had to remain indoors. When she was old enough, she passed the time reading every book she could get her hands on.
At eight, her father began teaching her magic. The human system (magic missile), a lot of her elemental spells, and whatnot come from him.
Her mother taught her some Elven magic, and she took up some swordsmanship to pass the time.
Nine, she was taken as an "apprentice" under one of the healers in the village to begin learning Elven healing magic. She also started learning the common tongue around this time, since Elven was the language primarily spoken in the village.
At twelve, betrothed to another boy in the village.
Thirteen saw her as an official apprentice, and she would often times help out the village healers, and act as a translator for the visitors they would receive. (Outsiders)
Met Maias at fourteen. He was brought into the village badly injured, from a supposed hunting accident. She was one of the healers who remained with him, and acted as his translator.
Once he recovered, Maias earned his keep in the village by helping out where he could. And when neither were busy, Aurae spent all her time with him, asking him every question under the sun. It was during this time that she fell in love with him, despite being as young as she was.
Late summer of her fourteenth year - Maias ordered the destruction of her village and, upon refusing to come with him, Maias pushed Aurae off a cliff in an attempt to kill her.
Nearly a month later, Aurae woke up in a hunter's shack not too far from her village and learned about what happened while she was gone. And once able, traveled back to see her village's remains. It's here that she made a vow to avenge them so that she can put their souls to rest.
❧ Tempest (Post-Village To Death)
Traveled to the capital after that, and did a few odd jobs to earn enough money for clothes, a cloak, and a knife.
Met a young page who offered her a place to sleep and training in return for her healing. She gave him the name "Tempest" instead of her real one, and after a few days of spending time with him, decided to cut her hair and dye it.
Spent the next year training with the page, learning about the capital, and doing odd jobs to earn money to save away.
At almost sixteen, she learned about the campaigns hunters and other skilled travelers would be hired to go on, and signed up in order to earn more money. Because she was a mage, she was often a backup and a lookout, which suited her just fine.
Sixteen, she killed her first human. On one campaign mentioned above, she was a lookout, and managed to stop and kill their target (it was an assassin's campaign, not that she knew) and saved their entire group from an ambush. It was at this point her name became fairly known in those circles, due to being so young and being so ruthless in killing said target.
Up until twenty-two, she continued joining up on campaigns, until she'd spend weeks, and then months away from the capital. She became more well-known this time for both her skill and her temper, and was often asked on some of the more dangerous ones.
Late in her twenty-second year, she went on a campaign to look for dark artifacts. She found the dark ring here and, after putting it on, had to cut off her finger to remove it or die from dark magic.
At twenty-three, she killed her entire campaign party for planning to destroy a half-elf village they had stopped to stay in.
Twenty-four, and by chance, she met Maias again while looking for campaigns. He'd heard of her and wanted her to join his group. She accepted, with all intentions of killing him the first chance she got. Except oops fell back in love with him again. She became one of his closest in merely half a year.
She spent two years with Maias, and it's barely after she turned twenty-six that she finally made her move to kill him. She purchased some poison in the capital and planned to poison him during their next impromptu dinner together.
Late spring, twenty-sixth year, she killed Maias by slitting his throat when the poison didn't work. Maias' men find out about what happen, and she lead them out of the village to kill them. She took them all out, but died in the process.
