5. Being woken up in the middle of the night by a group of men intent on killing her. . . . oh wait he’s a SHE. ★ (Neutral Trivial)
Tempest is asleep when a seven men decide that is the best time to sneak in and murder the "powerful mage" that has been making a name for themself in the mercenary business. That, and it's bad for their boss' business if a rival happens to hire them and all.
Tempest awakens, however, just as they're about to stab her, and seem surprised that their target is a woman. Unamused at both that and being woken up, Tempest is the first to attack, lighting the nearest bandit on fire and kicking his partner in the face.
A brief fight breaks out, Tempest disarms another bandit and uses his sword to kill another, injures yet another, and leaves the last one cowering in a corner. When it's all said and done, two dead, four injured, and one left intact with a message to the man who sent them:
"Try harder next time."
. . . she goes back to sleep right after they leave.
What she learned:
- She's a very light sleeper.
- Apparently people think "The Tempest" is a wizard. A male wizard.
- SLEEP IS PRECIOUS
- She has very few moral issues killing bandits
- She's also a swordsman?? And knows how to disarm attackers??
- ....... seriously did she just kill two people, hurt four more, and go to bed after that no problem
