Kyriakos | Memory 45
45. "He is suppose to work with us? Have you no idea what he's done?" ★ (Significant Negative)
narrative version!
tl;dr version:
This takes place after another memory she hasn't gotten back yet! Following that though, she follows the mage and confronts him about his bullshit story. Something about a Seer and etc and so forth. She loses her temper, going off about how she and her cousin didn't want a second chance, and how it was forced on them. The mage doesn't have any answers for her, claiming that he's just as much part of this unwillingly as she is.
That only serves to piss her off more, and she goes off again, this time wondering how he could even think to bring such a terrible man (Maias) back to life, do you have any idea what he's done, I worked my entire life to kill him and so forth. The mage interrupts her, though, telling her to calm down - and ends up losing his mask in the process and revealing his true identity.
It's not some stranger, but one of Tempest's longest and only friends, Hadrian. aka The Innkeeper, aka the guy who, in other memories, basically treats her like a daughter. Between that and whatever she was told previous, it's too much and she starts crying and tries to escape, but Hadrian doesn't let her.
He tells her that he's aware of what Maias has done and that he'd never do it willingly - hell, he'd rather leave him to rot, but had no choice.
Once she's calmed down, she tells him that she went to see him after she was revived, but he wasn't there - which was now explained, THANKS HADRIAN - but he had left to visit family up north and prepare for . . . well. The next time he had to bring someone (her cousin) back.
He asks Tempest not to tell anyone who he is, though, but offers her the same room she's been using for years at his inn, and that he'll be waiting for her when she returns to the capital. They part ways, and Tempest watches him leave, slowly absorbing everything that had just happened.
