21. Casting her first spell ☀ (Significant Positive)
This memory takes place when Tempest is around 5-6! Her father, much to her mother's displeasure, is trying to teach Aurae how to cast her first spell. There's some bantering back and forth between her parents, about what way to explain it is right (her mother being from the Elven system and her father being from the human) and a lot of fiddling around and demonstrating. Her mother even comes out to show off a little.
FINALLY, after a lot of failed attempts, Aurae manages to cast a spell! . . . and nearly burns down her house. :x But since it was weak and her first try, it fizzles out, but her parents are more proud that she managed it at such a young age then that she almost destroyed their home.
What she learned:
- More details on how her world's magic works; systems, mechanics, though it's all explained in a way for a six year old to understand so it isn't very detailed
- She started learning magic very young
- Her mother was against it, but her father wanted to teach her
- Her mother uses Elvish magic! Which isn't a huge surprise but her magic feels very different from her father's, who uses human magic. Same spell, different methods
